Our Jubilee Scout Hall has suffered over the years from vandalism, and the existing windows are single glazed wooden framed units that offer little protection from vandalism and do nothing to help retain the heat within our Scout Hall. Our Scout Hall was built in the 1970's, and our aim is to make our Scout Hall more comfortable for use by our Scouts during the colder months of the year when we hold our evening meetings, and to make it more user friendly for hire and use by other community groups during the day. We have already installed new electric heaters from our funds with the the help of a grant from Newtown Town Council, and our next aim is to replace the existing windows with double glazed laminated units to help retain the heat within the Scout Hall and to give us some additional protection from vandalism. We have already managed to secure a grant of £730 from the Newtown Flow community group funding event to get us on our way to our goal, and your donation would be greatly appreciated.
